1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Peri application ("App") or visiting our website at periclue.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Peri is a wellness tracking application that integrates with Apple Health data to provide perimenopause-aware health scores, insights, and AI-powered guidance. The Service includes the iOS application, backend API, and associated website.

3. Medical Disclaimer

Peri is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The scores, insights, and AI responses provided by Peri are for informational and wellness purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your health, medications, supplements, or treatment plans. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice based on information provided by Peri.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

4. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You may not create accounts for others without their consent
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Transmit malware or other harmful code
  • Impersonate another person or entity

6. Health Data and Privacy

Your use of HealthKit data within Peri is governed by both these Terms and our Privacy Policy. By granting Peri access to Apple Health data, you acknowledge that:

  • Peri reads but never writes to Apple Health
  • HealthKit data is processed to generate scores and insights
  • HealthKit data is never sold or used for advertising
  • You can revoke HealthKit access at any time via iOS Settings

7. AI Features (Ask Peri)

Peri includes AI-powered features using Anthropic's Claude API. When using Ask Peri:

  • AI responses are generated based on your health data and general wellness knowledge
  • AI responses are not medical advice — always verify with a healthcare provider
  • Conversation data is processed by Anthropic with zero-retention policy
  • AI features may have usage limits to manage costs

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its algorithms, design, content, and code, is owned by Peri and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial wellness tracking purposes.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. Upon deletion:

  • All personal data, health records, and AI conversation history will be permanently deleted
  • Deletion is completed within 30 days
  • This action cannot be undone

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peri and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, damages arising from:

  • Reliance on any information provided by the Service
  • Interruption or unavailability of the Service
  • Errors or inaccuracies in scores or insights
  • Unauthorized access to your data despite our security measures

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that health scores will be accurate for every individual.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or the Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
